Neuroscience Postdoctoral Positions in University of Massachusetts Medical School

Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew R. Tapper at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. The primary focus of the research team is to use biophysical, optogenetic, and behavioral approaches to uncover neurocircuitry underlying drug addiction and addiction-related behaviors in mouse models. Post-docs will be expected to spearhead new projects and use multi-disciplinary approaches in an effort to identify novel circuits and signaling cascades involved in addiction and behavior (see recent publications: Nat Neurosci. 2017 Sep;20(9):1260-1268.; Nat Commun. 2015 Apr 21;6:6770). Applicants with backgrounds in electrophysiological approaches (i.e. brain slice physiology, in vivo neural recordings, etc.) are particularly encouraged to apply, although all candidates with a strong background in neuroscience will be considered. Please submit CV with names and e-mail addresses of three references to Dr. Tapper.
