Project Assistant Professor in the Division of Visual Information Processing, Department of Fundamental Neuroscience (One Position)

2. Research field

National Institute for Physiological Sciences aims to understand the function of human body and brain. We call for applicants who will actively promote the research in neuronal circuits underlying information processing and the mechanisms of experience-dependent functional development in the visual cortex. We expect the applicants are skillful in electrophysiology, Ca2+ imaging and/or molecular biology. Applicants are also requested to take charge of education for graduate students as a faculty of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies).

3. Application qualification

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent scientific career.

4. Appointment period

Contract is renewed every year. The longest appointment period is five years.
